Native to parts of Siberia, these plants excel in northern gardens. Fruit flavor is comparable to wild blueberries with a hint of currant and ripens two weeks earlier than strawberries. Can be eaten fresh, but these berries truly shine when made into tasty jam. Plants have small, cream-colored flowers in spring and attractive flat-green leaves through summer. Ripens late May, early June. Cold-hardy.
