Join us for a weekend of fun, eco-friendly activities as we celebrate Earth Day! All activities are free of charge while supplies last.

Free Earth Day Activities (Located in the field House Greenhouse, in Kid's Corner)

*Eco Friendly Edibles-Kid's will have the opportunity to plant an herb in a small biodegradable container and add some decorations. This fun project will help them learn about using an herb to cook with, along with the benefits of growing and caring for their own plant!

* Earth Day "Rocks" Scavenger Hunt- This fun scavenger hunt will have your kid's on the look out for various types of rocks on our grounds! It will feature an egg carton with clues as to which rocks to find and place in their egg carton scavenger hunt tray!

*Awards Collection Weekend for Earth Day Writing Challenge Winners-When visiting with your family, stop by Kid's Corner in the field house greenhouse, and see the winning entries that will be displayed in a special area! The proud winners will be collecting their monetary award, plants, and upcycled kitchen garden projects. If you happen to be here when they are receiving their awards, congratulate them and thank them for thinking hard about how to keep our earth healthy and clean! Recipients will be coming at various times throughout  this weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone!

*Earth Day Writing Challenge 2025 Rules & Details-Teachers and homeschooling parents of 3rd & 4th grade students are encouraged to have their students enter our annual writing challenge ongoing now through Wednesday April 16th (due date of entries). Learn more here!
