Ben Schmidt

Annual Specialist

Ben can be seen working in many different areas of Ebert’s. From helping with field trips and train rides in the fall to helping the Production Team run & prep soil for the spring planting to helping mulch and weed the different beds around Ebert’s, Ben has been involved in several different areas year-round. Recently, Ben has been getting more and more involved with the Annual Department, primarily helping with ‘Petunia Land’ and helping to stock Hanging Basket in Display. Being on the younger end of the Annual Department, Ben has been looking for ways to incorporate technology to make operations at Ebert’s more streamlined through spreadsheets and digital inventories.

Although only in his mid-20s, Ben has had the privilege of working at Ebert’s for nearly 8 seasons.  After spending a number of years as seasonal help between high school and college years, Ben began working full-time at Ebert’s in 2021. Although working full-time at Ebert’s Ben has been pursuing a BBA degree in ‘General Management’ through UW-Whitewater’s Online Program and is hoping to graduate in May of 2025. In 2023, Ben had the privilege of getting married and has been loving every aspect of married life. In his free time outside of work, Ben can be seen studying for classes, spending quality time with his wife, family, and friends, and trying his hand at woodworking projects.
